Term Paper

A good portion of your final class grade (20%) is based on the Carbon Cap and Trade term paper. Detailed instructions on content are provided in the links below. It is very important that you read over all that material before beginning to research and write your paper. It is also suggested that you get started as soon as possible. A final printed version of your paper is due in class on Tuesday, October 11. The reason the papers are not due at the end of the semester is because we need time to grade them. You may turn in your paper to me earlier than this date. You are ALSO required to upload a copy of the SAME paper to turnitin.com by the end of the day on October 13. To be on time, both of these must be done. I am still working out the details of how to use tunrnitin.com, so specific instructions on how to upload your paper will be given later. This topic will not be covered in lecture until after the paper is due. The term paper should be based on your research. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

An important step is choosing a suitable, specific topic for your paper. I am certainly willing to look over your proposed topic and provide feedback before you begin writing. So if you have any concerns about your topic, please discuss it with me in person or by email.
