I set the due date for the beginning of the second week back after spring break to give you a break from this class after the term paper and to not burden you to finish immediately before or after spring break. However, I do suggest that you start it early so that you can get help if necessary.

Term Paper

I suggest that you carefully read over the instructions provided below before beginning to write your paper. We will go over the instructions in class on Friday, January 24. However, we will not cover the topic of carbon dioxide increases and the potential climate changes that may occur until after the paper is due. The term paper should be based on your research. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Optional Assignment (Cap and Trade Topic) due via email by the end of the day on February 5
Printed Paper (final version) due in class on or before Wednesday, March 12, 2014
Electronic copy of same paper must be sent to turnitin.com by end of the day March 14.
Deadline for submission to turnitin.com has been extended until end of the day March 21.

To upload your paper to turnitin.com, you need to do the following:

  1. Go to turnitin.com and create an account. The button for this is in uppper right hand portion of the home page for turnitin. If you have already created an account for another class, then you are already registered and you do not need to do this again.
  2. Sign in to turnitin.com using email address and password. The sign in button is also found in the upper right hand part of the turnitin.com homepage.
  3. Click on the "enroll in a class" button.
  4. For ATMO336, the class/section ID is 7751205 and the enrollment password is climate14
  5. To submit (upload) your term paper, select the course ATMO336 from your student homepage, then click on the Submit button for the term paper. You will then be asked to select the file from your local computer that you want to upload.
  6. This must be completed by the end of the day on March 14, 2014
