Professor Christopher L. Castro

Professor Castro is an Assistant Professor to the Department of Atmospheric Sciences. 

His research specialties include climate variability and regional atmospheric modeling.  His main focus currently is on the North American Monsoon and land-sea interaction.

He received his Bachelors of Science in Meteorology, with the highest distinction, from Pennsylvania State University in 1997.  Afterwards, he continued his education at Colorado State University, earning his Masters of Science in 2000, and his Ph.D. in 2005. 

His office is located in the Physics-Atmospheric Sciences Bldg. Rm 520, and his office hours are WF 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., or by appointment.  He can also be reached by e-mail at castro@atmo.arizona.edu, using a valid arizona.edu account with NATS101 in the header, or by telephone at 626-5617.
