Aug 25, 2011 Only 58 of 113 students have registered their clickers as of 10PM tonight. Tomorrow’s lecture will have clicker extra credit questions. The D2L course website will be up and running Monday, Aug 29. It will replace this course website for the purpose of regular announcements, lecture postings, reading assignments, etc. Starting Monday, I will only answer course-related email if it’s sent to conant@d2l.arizona.edu.
Aug 24, 2011—Clicker Registration Alternative [See Aug 23 post below for learning how to register your ResponseCard clicker. This note pertains to using your cellphone or laptop as a clicker.] 1) See if your laptop or phone is compatible at http://www.turningtechnologies.com/audienceresponseproducts/responseoptions/responseware/ 2) Go to http://store.turningtechnologies.com/ Our school code is (case sensitive): R3Dt 3) Buy one of the ResponseWare licensing options. They come in 3-month up to 5-year options; 1-year is about $19. 4) After checking out, wait for an email containing a license code. 5) Log into http://rwpoll.com/ 6) Create an account using the information in the license code email 7) Keep the “device ID” they give you after your account is created. This ID acts as if you had bought a clicker, and this is the ResponseCard ID you would see on the back of that clicker. 8) Follow the instructions below (Aug 23) to register your new device ID for this class. 9) After you get to class, log into http://rwpoll.com/ again and use the sessionID I’ll give you in class to log into the course for the day. You will repeat step 9 each lecture.
