BIO | WHO I AMI am currently a Research Specialist, Atmospheric Sciences in the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. I am originally from Detroit, Michigan and came to Tucson to pursue a M.S. in Atmospheric Sciences after receiving a B.S. in Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Space Sciences from the University of Michigan. RESEARCH | WHAT I DOI research mostly atmosphere-ocean boundary processes--their impact on climate and their representation in climate models. Research projects that I've been involved in have included several model surface flux parameterization intercomparisons, studies of marine atmospheric boundary layer processes, and the implementation of a skin sea surface temperature scheme into a climate model. For more information on my research, go to my Research. You'll find more information (including data) about my current VOCALS in the UA-VOCALS page. |

WEATHER | WHY I AM AN ATMOSPHERIC SCIENTISTAs a child, I was fascinated with the weather and wondered why the atmosphere does what it does. That curiosity led me to follow a career in atmospheric science. Even though my research is in climate, I still follow the weather religiously. In my Weather section, I link to the sites that contain my favorite weather data. |
