¥ But winds continue to push water inward towards stormÕs center.
¥ Winds along hurricaneÕs right flank also push water against shore.
¥ Water piles up along shoreline and rushes inland. The big effect!
¥ Effect is worse where ocean floor slopes gently - Gulf of Mexico!
