ATMO451/551
 MWF 11:00-11:50; PAS 488

This two-semester course introduces physical meteorology focusing on topics in atmospheric thermodynamics, chemistry, radiative transfer, climate dynamics, and cloud processes. Additionally, we cover various physical phenomena including acoustics, electricity and optics. We will cover some fluid mechanics as it relates to turbulence and diffusion, but the majority of atmospheric motions are covered in the companion course ATMO 441/541.
