The Minor Program in Atmospheric Sciences

The Minor Program in Atmospheric Science requires 12 units of Atmospheric Sciences graduate work, of which 3 units must be ATMO 536a. The other 9 units are chosen from any of the ATMO electives whose home department is Atmospheric Sciences. Any pre-requisites for electives must be satisfied before the electives are taken. The written examination may be waived by the student's Minor Advisor if an overall GPA if 3.5 is achieved for all 4 courses.

Students electing to do the Ph.D. minor in Atmospheric Sciences must select a minor Advisor from the ATMO core faculty. In addition, the student should complete and obtain approval of their minor Plan of Study, preferably within the first semester.
